Leadership Team

Pattie Urie, Interim Executive Director

Pattie joined Sherwood in 1993 while working towards her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Washington. She had previously received her Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the College of St. Catherine in Minnesota. Upon joining Sherwood, Pattie worked as an Occupational Therapist in birth to 3 services and later became the ExCEL program manager for 13 years. She became Associate Director in 2008 and was appointed Interim Executive Director in June 2011, overseeing all of the Sherwood programs. Pattie's 24 year old daughter Brittany has Down's syndrome and cerebral palsy but works part time at Sherwood and is a consistent volunteer at our events.

Joy Panks, Administration Director

Joy Panks joined Sherwood in 2010 as the Administration Director. Joy has seven years Human Resource and Executive Office Management experience. Additionally, she has five years of experience with Facilities/Property Management. As the Administration Director for Sherwood, Joy is an active member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for managing the agency's administrative functions including the administrative office and staff, human resources, payroll, and employee benefit plans. Joy also oversees the maintenance and custodial needs for the facility. She is the chairperson of the Safety Committee and is dedicated to the safety of the staff, clients, and guests of Sherwood.

Jerry Godley, Financial Officer

Jerry Godley has been at Sherwood since 1993. She oversees the daily financial operations.


Callie Graff, Industrial Services Quality Manager and IT Administrator

Callie Graff joined Sherwood in 2007 working with infants in the daycare. She then moved to Industrial Services in 2008 and was promoted to Quality Manager later. As Quality Manager, Callie ensures that our AS9100 certification is maintained, and that Sherwood is in good standing with our commercial contracts at Comcast and Boeing. Callie also oversees our workshop that employs about twenty adults who experience a disability. Callie helped get our first micro enterprise It's ALL Good started and recently left that endeavor to take over Sherwood's internal IT needs.

Program Managers

Julie Adams, ExCEL Program Manager

Julie Adams joined Sherwood in 2007 as an FRC/Educator. She later became the ExCEL program coordinator and has held this role for nearly three years. Prior to Sherwood, Julie has had 20 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. She has worked at private and public schools, preschools, and non-profit organizations in Massachusetts, New Mexico, Georgia, and Washington state. She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Julie enjoys working with families in providing therapy and educational services for children birth to 3 who have developmental delays or disabilities.

Laura Lakings-Becvar, Career Connection Program Manager

Laura Lakings-Becvar came to Sherwood in September 2010 and brings more than 25 years of experience in employment and vocational services. Laura has a Bachelor's degree in General/Special Education (non-teaching degree) and a Vocational Education endorsement. She oversees all employment programs for a diverse population of people referred from local schools, the DDD, DVR and DSB. Laura assures that county and national level accreditations are maintained, services are diversified to meet a wide range of individual needs and that clients have access to resources, including technology as a tool for successful job retention.

Andrew Urie, TechSTEP Program Coordinator

Andrew Urie joined Sherwood in 2007 as a Job Placement specialist in Career Connection. In August 2012, he became the TechSTEP Services Coordinator. Prior to Sherwood, Andrew has had 10 years of experience working with children and teens with various mental health disorders. Andrew has worked for both a private practice and Snohomish County’s largest mental health outpatient organization as a group facilitator and as a Mental Health Professional. He has a Master's Degree in Psychology, specializing in Children’s Mental Health. Andrew enjoys working closely with individuals and families in providing Assistive Technology services to increase greater independence and communication to individuals with developmental delays or disabilities.
